'DURANT'

BY JOHANNA JOHNSON

From red carpets to red rubies,
- make your journey your own.

DURANT by Johanna Johnson was born not from strategy, but from stillness. After years of designing gowns for some of the world’s most visible moments — the red carpet, the aisle, the spotlight — Johanna turned inward. A lifelong collector of vintage stones and jewellery, she began quietly designing pieces for herself: heirloom-inspired settings and modern silhouettes grounded in old-world technique.
Her personal collection began appearing on red carpets, in editorials, and on screens around the world. What started as a personal outlet soon evolved — not just into a collection, but into a new kind of brand: one built on craft, clarity, and emotional legacy.
DURANT is named after Johanna’s maternal lineage, and more intimately, for her daughter — a brand created in the quiet hours of early motherhood. When her daughter was later diagnosed with Autism, Johanna made the decision to pause her work and focus fully on her daughter's therapies and early intervention. The rhythm of work shifted — not stilled, but refined — giving rise to a new kind of creation: one shaped by intention, and built hand in hand with her three children.

The Black Stallion

At the heart of DURANT stands its emblem — a black stallion, mid-gallop. It is more than a symbol; it’s a tribute to Johanna’s grandmother, a fearless woman known for riding bareback while doing handstands — a metaphor for strength, determination, and balance.
The stallion represents the resilience of women and mothers everywhere — courageous, and quietly unyielding amid the unpredictable beauty of life. In every campaign, it runs as a reminder: luxury isn’t simply about beauty — it is about the pursuit of life, led with grace, patience - and courage.

Today, DURANT offers fine lab-grown diamond jewellery, champagne-tested fashion pieces, and custom suiting — all handcrafted with heritage techniques and designed to last.

From pressure comes brilliance. And from the quietest seasons, sometimes, the boldest ideas are born.

"Guard your own spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds."
